Grand Opera House and National Theatre

«Get ready for the month of March as the National Opera will present a variety of world famous classical opera and ballet performances opening with the concert Gala marking the 20oth anniversary of Chopin's birthday on 01.03. Verdi's Traviatao, proven to be a permanent fixture in the top ten best-loved opera's will play on the 02 & 03.03, and the sharp-edged, otherworldly, and dramatic Oresteia will be performed on 14,16 & 25.03. On 18.03, Madame Butterfty will make audiences view the world through the eyes of a geisha and at the end of the month (24,26,28 & 31.03), Strauss's Elektra will bring to the stage a horribly dysfunctional family in an operatic display of just how disturbing society can really be. The National Theatre (located at the same address) also invites non-Polish speakers to enjoy great dramatic classics with three special events. 3 March, Ivanov will be performed with subtitles in Polish, as well as Pierre de Marivaux's comedy The False Maid, of The Rogue Punished on 11 March.
